Team and presenter modes
Run Range solo, as a team exercise, or led from the front of the room. Here is how the multi-user modes work.
Range works for an individual analyst building skills and for a whole team rehearsing together. The mode you choose changes how a scenario is run, not what it covers.
Solo
A single responder works a scenario end to end at their own pace. Best for skill-building, onboarding, and getting repetitions on a specific technique. Your scores and completions accrue to your profile.
Team mode
Multiple responders work the same incident together, the way a real response actually happens: people take roles, share findings, and make decisions as a group. Team mode is built for SOC and IR teams who want to practice coordination and handoffs, not just individual technique. It surfaces how the team communicates under pressure, which is often where real incidents are won or lost.
Presenter mode
An instructor or team lead drives a scenario from the front of the room, pausing to discuss decisions, surface options, and explain why a given containment is right. Presenter mode is built for training sessions, tabletop-style exercises, and workshops, where the goal is shared understanding across a group.
Choosing a mode
- Building individual skill: solo.
- Rehearsing coordinated response: team.
- Teaching or running a workshop: presenter.
Completion records and competency tracking work across modes. See certificates and badges.
